Coldplay names new album 'Viva La Viva'

Coldplay's new album will be called 'Viva La Viva'. The band have decided to name the LP, which was previously rumoured to be titled 'Prospekt', after a painting by acclaimed Mexican artist Frida Kahlo which means 'Long Live Life'.Frontman Chris Martin explained: "Frida went through a lot of s**t, and then she started a big painting in her house that said 'Viva La Vida'. I just loved the boldness of it."Chris insists he isn't bothered what people think of the name.The singer, who put up with a lot of criticism after he and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow called their three-year-old daughter Apple, said: "I've been through this before, naming something or someone and everyone saying 'That's a terrible name', but then saying, 'Well, f**k you, that's what it's called, and I'll be proved to be right eventually.' "Frida, famed for her mono-brow, was portrayed by actress Salma Hayek in 2002 film 'Frida'.She died in 1954 at the age of 47 after battling polio.(C) BANG Media International
